Decision Support, Regulatory Analysis, & New Business Operations

A soon-to-be founder engaged an Impact Consulting team to consult him on building from ground up a cross-border trade startup for Tanzania-to-US agriculture products. Drew was the lead consultant on this IC team (working under an experienced OC&C strategy consultant as the team's manager and alongside investment banking analysts).

The consulting engagement consisted of two phases: product selection and operational/regulatory planning. Drew provided key analyses (category size & attractiveness, product shipping factors, US import-export statistics, etc.) informing an attribute-weighted comparison tool for the team's product selection recommendations. In Phase II, Drew prepared five key internal reports on regulatory and operational strategy (e.g. USDA organic requirements, US & African customs regulations, Fairtrade International standards, trucking + cargo shipping cost estimates, competitor benchmarks & GTM channels) and presented insights to the client.

In final meetings and interactions, both the client and IC team manager recognized Drew's standout contributions throughout the project.
